Top 4 uses for Scented Fragrance Oil

Scented oil, also known as fragrance oil can be used in many applications. Some are obvious, but there are some uses you probably didn't know about. Here is a helpful list:

1. Oil warmers- Most of us know that scented oils are widely used in oil warmers. Oil warmers are a device that heats up scented or fragrance oils and disperses the fragrance throughout an area. They are available in all shapes, sizes and colors. They are also available in electric or tea-light.

2. Reed Diffusers- Reed Diffusers are another way of dispersing fragrances throughout an area. Unlike oil warmers, diffusers use gravity to pull the scented oil into the reeds and then release the scent. They are not as effective as oil warmers, but are a good alternative for people who do not want a warming device.

3. Freshen Sachet's, Potpourri & Car Fresheners- Great uses for scented oils are to "re-freshen" the things you already have. How many of us have thrown away those hanging car fresheners that don't smell anymore? Adding a few drops of scented oil to your favorite car freshener will make it as good (or better) than new! The key is to get quality scented oils that are free of alcohol or cheap additives. The same goes for potpourri and sachet's. Instead of throwing them away, refresh them with your favorite scent.

4. Eliminate Bathroom Odors: Raise your hand if you use bathroom sprays to mask odors. Let's face it, the sprays only mask the odors for a short time and usually end up smelling like roses and....well you know. Did you know that if you add a few drops of scented oil to the toilet bowl water (before you use it), it will eliminate 95% of all odors? It's actually a simple concept. Since oil and water don't mix, the oil naturally rises to the top creating a "barrier" above the water. Anything below this line is trapped (including smells). Get a small spray bottle, add some water and about a tablespoon of scented oil. Spritz onto the water in the toilet bowl to cover the entire area.
